What is included with every kit? 

All kits come with a NBT EVO head unit pre-programmed and activated to your VIN along with a Wifi Antenna for Apple CarPlay, GPS port add-on which is necessary to ensure that the factory Navigation continues to function as well as a screen adapter if you intend on using your pre-existing NBT or CIC screen (For F30 vehicles).

Does this upgrade work in my region? 

This kit is currently available to customers with F chassis BMW vehicles located  in the United States, Canada,  Europe,  Australia, New Zealand,  Singapore,  Hong Kong/Macao and the Middle East.   Your kit will be programmed with the maps to your region along with the corresponding language and AM/FM radio frequencies.    If you are based in the United States,   your unit will also have Satellite Radio and HD radio capability at no additional cost.

I have a 2016 2, 3, 4 series vehicle with the ID4 NBT EVO Navigation System,  will this work? 

Yes, if you are coming from a vehicle that has a ID4 NBT EVO Navigation System,  you will also benefit from having a 100% seamless retrofit and be able to retain BMW ConnectedDrive Services provided that your subscription is still active.

My vehicle did not come standard with the On Board Navigation System,  can I still use this product? 

Yes but you will need to to upgrade the screen to the 8.8″ Touchscreen as the factory 6.5″ display is not compatible with the new system.

What is included in the essential wiring pack and do I need it?  

The essential wiring pack includes a replacement display cable,  replacement USB cable for the armrest along with a GPS antenna.  If your vehicle is a 2014 base model 2, 3 or 4 series vehicle you will also be provided with a replacement microphone  wire along with a replacement Bluetooth Antenna.

I have a 2013+  model vehicle with NBT (Not EVO)  On Board Navigation,  what will I need for this to work? 

Our standard package will allow for the newer NBT EVO head unit to work on your older setup and Navigation will continue to work as all of our units include the the necessary blue GPS socket that connects to your exterior antenna.

Will Sirius XM and HD radio Still work? 

All US customers will be provided with the correct hardware for their market so you will be able to continue using Sirius XM and HD radio without any issue.

Is follow up coding necessary after I receive my kit?  

In most cases,  our ID5/ID6 retrofit kit is completely plug and play, pre-programmed and activated to your VIN in our lab prior to being sent out to you.   Some vehicles coming from CIC or ENTRY may require additional follow up coding and this would be included at no additional cost.  Please coordinate with us on the timing of your install so that our technicians can work with you at the time of install to have the necessary coding carried out.
